that works in partnership with rural village and capacity-building
programs to support the development of sustainable solutions
for community survival, education, and growth.
Global Partners for Development works hand in hand with the people of East Africa to build sustainable solutions to end poverty.
United
Nations Development Fund for Women is
the women's fund at the United Nations, dedicated to advancing women’s
rights and achieving gender equality. It provides financial and technical
assistance to innovative programmes and strategies that foster women's
empowerment. UNIFEM works on the premise that it is the fundamental
right of every woman to live a life free from discrimination and violence,
and that gender equality is essential to achieving development and
to building just societies.
The aim of the World
Community Alliance Network (CAN) is to strengthen
and support the capacity of visionary community leaders in highly under-developed
rural areas to develop, expand and successfully achieve their locally-based
projects and initiatives. These initiatives primarily support clean
water generation for the communities, healthcare, education for orphans
and vulnerable children and education and empowerment for women. Our
aim is also to facilitate the transfer and spread of ideas and initiatives
throughout these rural communities and beyond.
Vijana
Maarufu Development Group [VIMA], founded by the Ministry of Home
Affairs- Children Department in Kisumu, Kenya in July 2004, is a
community based organization that deals with orphans and vulnerable
children.
