US Celebrities Hold Concert
for Mama na Dada

Hollywood, CA – June 4, 2010: Jovy Janolo
for My Fashion Place, together with Noone-N-Fenix event specialists,
held a concert benefit at Eleven Nightclub in West Hollywood for
Mama Na Dada’s
Girl Soccer Team that was founded by actress and philanthropist, Meghan
Noone. Meghan was joined by some of her celebrity friends all over
the nation, including her teammates from Playboy Golf, to raise money
for MamaNaDada.org – a non-profit, non-governmental organization
formed by, and for African women to support the empowerment of the
African girl child. The concert had the 90’s pop boy band 98
Degrees founding member, Jeff Timmons host and headline the show.
The fundraiser was kicked off at a private green (hint: color of a soccer field) carpet room with event hostess, Meghan Noone and BB Fenix. They greeted and posed with their close celebrity friends and supporters, holding a crystal trophy made exclusively for Mama Na Dada by Icon Crystals (Official Pro Football Hall of Fame Sponsor).
Celebrities who attended were Fabio (international model, CEO of Healthy Planet Vitamins), Kelly Aldrich (Playboy Golf), Stephen Kramer Glickman (actor, comedian), Dawn Christie (actor, spiritual healer), Chris Winters (actor), Lars Perkins (former CEO of Picasa), Alana Curry (actor, ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines’), TY James (daughter of Rick James), Kerri Kasem (daughter of Casey Kasem), Jazmin Whitley (fashion designer of Li Cari), Jamie Carson (actor), Anna Wilding (actor/ director/producer), Josh Robert Thompson (actor/comedian), Lovisa Westerblom (actor), Bryan Lay (actor, ‘True Blood’ and ‘Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency’), and Carlos Ramirez (actor).
There were many other celebrities, who arrived just in time for the show,
skipped the carpet and head directly to the seating area, where snacks
and drinks were provided by Crater Lake Vodka and One Natural Experience
Healthy Drinks.
The show started with a live performance by folk rock singer, Marc Cogman. He sang two songs, "Foreign Movie" and "I Can't Fix It", from his debut album, Welcome to the Danger Show, and one song, "Ten Years Down the Road", from his newest album Beneath a Balcony. He was then followed by rock and roll vocalist/guitarist Zak Ambrose. Zak performed five songs from his latest album: “The Desert's Arms”, “Long Road”, “Golden”, “The Beach”, and “Houston”.
Around 9 p.m., Meghan gave a touching speech of how and why she formed Mama Na Dada’s girl soccer team. “My hope that this soccer team for the girls will empower them (the women and children of Kenya), give them self-esteem, self-confidence… and they will be able to build from that… and it will give them freedom and hope for the many challenges that they face on a daily basis… including HIV, Aids, and Malaria (victims and patients)”.
